Where the math meets reality — front-loading long esters?
I'm looking to front-load a test cyp cycle, trying to work out how much to use, and I love to hear about your first hand experience with front-loading. I started using www.steroidplanner.com and figured out what works on paper, but I just don't believe it would play out in the real world
For the sake of easy numbers to work with, let's say you want to do a 600mg/wk Test Cypionate cycle, pinning 200mg on M-W-F. Normally it takes ~4-6 weeks to get to steady state. On Steroidplanner, if you add test cyp, 200mg every M-W-F, and then add an extra dose of 500mg test cyp only on Monday of week 1 (for a total of 700mg on that Monday), it perfectly lines up the graph, bringing it to its steady state immediately
Would anyone really take 3.5x their normal dose to start a cycle? It sounds excessive, and I imagine it doesn't follow this simplistic mathematical model, which doesn't take into account carrier oil. I also just learned today from a new Vigorous Steve video that benzyl benzoate can release 20-25% of the esterified hormone in the first day or two (link to exact video timestamp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL__qZjJdGM&t=181s )
Thanks in advance to anyone with front-loading experience or expertise to share! I'm aware of other methods for kickstarting (short esters, orals,..), but I'm curious to know more about front-loading specifically. And you believe it's a bad idea, either sometimes or always, I'd love to hear in detail about how you arrive at that conclusion, and when it's good, bad, or ok to do. Thanks!

I would never front load with the long ester.I am cycling with. For 600 per week of test Cyp, I would pin 50mg of Test Prop every other day for the first 2-3 weeks and drop the prop. Who am I kidding, I wouldn’t drop the prop for the whole cycle, LOL, but you do you, and what I suggested for you would be the correct way to do it.
Test prop is all you need. No calculator, no mega dosing, no massive spike to blood pressure.
A vial or two and your on your way.
You mean a kick start? going to be very hard to front load a cycle with prop and makes no sense
JonnBlood pressure. Thanks for the reminder! Longevity sides are the ones I’m most concerned about mitigating. I’d gladly take hair loss or some acne over myocardial infarction!
Front loading pretty much a thing of the past. Just more effective and safer to kick with shorts or hit some quick acting orals.
JonnThanks @Makwa! Yeah, I’m totally going to skip the front-load and supplement with short esters, prolly some suspension pwo too—I never seem to mind the PIP, especially when diluting it in my other water based pwo’s. If there is pain, I try to channel it into pushing hard
I will grab popcorn while he pins bold acetate.....
EQ is a patient man's cycle for a reason
I don’t over complicate things, front loading in my experience brings more issues from the bigger hormone spike at the start instead of the slower build up. Let’s say you been off a while and jump get back on that initial shot at double the dose is more likely to cause nasty sides that might cause ongoing issues throughout your cycle length. Imagine being off the gear and just going bang get in there 3 gram of test -- my head would be scatty. If I really want to get a quick boost soon as I’m back on I’ll just run an oral kicker for a few weeks.
Does front loading work , yeah in theory but is it that beneficial, not really.
Jonn@Stokes500 : Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. I hadn’t really thought about the come-up time itself as a beneficial easing into the cycle, allowing time for the body (and mind) to adjust
Honestly, I think my question was driven by my own impatience. I really liked where I was at the peak of my last cycle—I wanted to get there sooner and continue my progress, but clearly that’s not how it would work. Thanks for the helpful guidance, getting me to trust the process!
I run sustanon so i have matching esters for the taper of bold/sust of 4 weeks. Theyre long esters and unless youre on trt its my preference.
Theres a way to frontload either bold or sustanon but theres a catch. If you frontload bold it sure bangs hard by week three but the back pumps will light you up if you dont know how to combat them. Frontloading both will also bang on week three and its back pumps and estrogen spike. Again are you in this skill level?
Options are easier or simpler to plan. Bold cyp and testosterone cyp. No frontload as the esters are shorter and easier to control. Less spiking. Less back pumps but still need to alleviate those eventually. 600/600 is a simple to pin and a nice ride for adding mass.
Option....start the eq a month prior at normal dosing without frontload. Add in your cypionate and aim for 16 weeks while remembering bold stops 2 weeks prior to bold.
Option....bold a month prior and frontload sustanon at end of week 4. If my cycle is 600mg sustanon then i pin 300mg saturday and 300mg sunday with monday being day 1 pin of the weekly total and using eod methods. Make sense? 300sat-300sun....monday 600/600 ÷ 4 (mon wed fri sun etc etc non stop)
Imo the cyp cyp combo is the simplest. 12-14weeks with solid pct. Nothing fancy but works well.
TAURINE 500MG...RESEARCH THIS....youre welcome
